Haven’t done too much since Comic-Con. Went out with some friends who came back home to Seattle. Celebrated some birthdays and witnessed two friends get married on an extremely hot day, at least 95°. We had some gorgeous weather this past weekend. Several days of pure sunshine and heat. Watched a few meteors streak the night sky during the meteor shower last week. And saw Scott Pilgrim in the theatres. It was a fun and funny movie. I enjoyed watching it. Michael Cera is hilarious.
This morning, I gave in and decided to get a case of the Dunny 2010 Series. I was in a pinch though. Schmancy’s opened up at 10am. But I was frantically trying to put a pdf together for a client meeting at 10:30am. I managed to finish it at 10:10am, made the decision to run over a couple blocks to get the case and the extra Sweet Relish dunny, and got back to my work with 5 minutes to spare. Got a fairly good case, but not the hardest to get ones. Still missing several of them. May have to pull a few blinds. But I’m stoked that I have an entire set of Sket One’s condiments. Yellow Mustard only available from Comic-Con, Sweet Relish avail through the release parties if you buy a case, and the Sketchup one which I was likely going to get in the case. They look so cute all together.

So B and I got to go to Comic-Con International 2010 in San Diego. We had purchased tickets way back in December of last year because we didn’t want to miss it. We planned for Friday and Saturday for the convention, but we did not plan for how overwhelming it got sometimes.
We flew to San Diego last Friday morning, and met up with our friend Paul. Dropped our luggage off at the Hilton, and went to go pick up our badges. Then went to the booths that we had our minds set on. It was pretty crazy at first, we weren’t sure where we were going. But once we figured things out we picked up: Manny Pacquiao x Bloc28 Mad Mickey from MINDstyle, Luke Chueh’s “Black in White” from Munky King, Sket One’s 3″ Mustard dunny and Sketchup t-shirt set, as well as the DJ Lance dunny from Kidrobot. After a nice relaxing time in the hotel pool, we went back to make a pre-order purchase of Coarse Toys‘ False Friends in the Sun Age colorway.
On Saturday, we woke up around 8:30am, got dressed, and headed out to the Convention Center. We waited in the Kidrobot line at 10am to get our bracelets for the Huck Gee SDCC exclusive and signing at 1pm. We stayed in line the whole time. While in line, we were right next to the G4 TV booth where tons of celebs passed by right next to us. We saw the Community cast members. Danny Pudi walked right in front of me, and I go “OMG! Hi!” and waved at him crazily and he waved back at me in the same manner. LOL. Saw Olivia Munn who was co-hosting for G4, Chevy Chase, and Seth MacFarlane. At about 1:30pm we finally get our turn to purchase the 8″ Skullhead exclusive and have it signed by Huck Gee. The dunny is awesome!

So yesterday B waited in the reserved line for 3.5 hours to get his iPhone 4. It’s lovely of course.

And just as we reached the front of the store, we found out that ColorPlay for iPhone and iPod Touch finally got approved. It’s now available for everyone else who have iPhones and iPod Touches. No longer just for the iPad. Get it if you can and help support. It’s a great coloring book app for kids! I actually love coloring on it too! A great job done by my fiancé, and his buddies Tony and Derek. Download ColorPlay!

So I finally managed to take some time and sew a couple dresses. One was to wear to a friend’s birthday party, and the silk gown just for the heck of it while I was hanging out at my mom’s house over the weekend.

In other news, my sister graduated with her MBA. Congrats! I got my Ginger camera bag from Epiphanie. Love it! B reserved his iPhone 4, so he’ll be getting one of those soon. Got my driver’s license renewed. Thanks to my non-aging Asian self, my new photo looks the same as the old one from four years ago. My niece goes, “You look the same, except your hair is bigger.” Hahaha. Love her. Spent father’s day with my fam, and also dinner with his fam.
Summer started so quickly. I hope there’s enough sunshine in Seattle for summer. It’s always the best.

I finally updated my blog to something simple and easy. In hopes that I’ll blog more without getting caught up with how the page looks until I decide what to do with the design.
So to give you all a recap since the beginning of the year…
Bruce and Tony put out an app for the iPhone called Rocket Downhill Penguin. They also put out an app for the iPad called ColorPlay – Kids Animated Coloring Book. Please support and give positive ratings if you can!!

Speaking of the iPad, we ended up purchasing one day of launch. But we picked it up later in the afternoon where the line had shortened up a bit. It was also funny to see Sir Mix-A-Lot in line just ahead of us waiting for the iPad.
